How to Prepare Your Photo & Signature for Government Job Forms

Every year lakhs of students apply for SSC CGL, UPSC Civil Services, RRB NTPC, IBPS PO, and various State PSC exams. The online application portals strictly enforce image dimensions and file size. Our free tool eliminates the guesswork – you see crop size in pixels, centimeters, and millimeters, choose from official presets, or enter custom dimensions (like 413×531 px for SSC). The server then compresses your image to the exact KB limit without sacrificing quality.

What are the standard dimensions for SSC/UPSC photos?

Most SSC & UPSC forms require a photo of 4.5 cm height × 3.5 cm width (approx 413×531 pixels). Our preset automatically sets this ratio and recommended 50 KB limit.

Can I resize to exact pixel size?

Yes! Activate the "Custom Output Dimensions" section, enter your desired width and height in px, cm, or mm, and tick "Resize image to exact dimensions". The cropped image will be scaled to that exact size before compression.

Why is my signature background turning white?

Government portals often demand a plain white background for signatures. Our tool fills the background white by default (toggle off if not needed). This works great for scanned blue‑ink signatures.

Is my image stored on your server?

No. All processing happens in memory and the image is deleted immediately after compression. We do not retain any uploaded files.

How to reduce photo size to exactly 20 KB?

Set the KB slider to 20 and click "Process Image". The server will lower JPEG quality and, if still too large, slightly downscale the image until it fits the limit.

Why do I need the correct aspect ratio?

If the aspect ratio doesn't match, your photo may appear stretched or be rejected. The crop tool locks the ratio based on your chosen preset or custom dimensions, ensuring compliance.
